September: French Space Command returns to work
September provided an opportunity for the Space Commander to present the CDE to national and international players in the space sector.
The Commander of Space, Major General Vincent Chusseau, spoke for the first time before the French space community at the Space Forum organized by La Tribune at the Cité de l'espace in Toulouse on September 9. This was an opportunity to take stock of:
- The growing threats in space and the increasingly marked challenge to our space interests;
- The rise of the French Space Command (CDE), a few weeks before the inauguration of its new building in Toulouse, a veritable space combat tool;
- The priorities set in response to tensions in orbit: strengthening surveillance, increasing resilience, developing capabilities for action in, to, and from space, and preparing the skills of tomorrow's forces.
This event, rich in exchanges, illustrates the strategic importance of space in national and European defense.

General Vincent Chusseau, French Space Command, spoke at the opening round table alongside his American, German, Spanish, and Canadian counterparts to discuss the theme of “navigating a rapidly evolving space domain.” It was an opportunity to reiterate that:
- Space capabilities are essential to the operational efficiency of the French armed forces.
- In a context of escalating conflict, protecting and defending these capabilities, increasing their resilience and responsiveness, as well as accelerating the deployment of countermeasures against opposing space threats , these are the current priorities of the CDE.
- Whether acting alone or in cooperation with its allies, France's Military Space Agency contributes to preserving the security and stability in space, which has become an essential strategic domain.
