IRBA is the French Armed Biomedical Research Institute. lts researchers have a double mission to develop research programmes both for the Armed Forces and civilian use.The research covers health support in the field as well as preventive medicine,the protection and health-care of soldiers involved in conflict.
Our aims: are to improve the care and treatment of the sick and wounded in times of armed conflit,to protect and alert the military authorities of dangers linked to their evolving environment.
The joint medical and military aspects unify our research programmes which correspond to the requirements of the Armed Forces thanks to our activities of expert appraisal and specific training. In addition some of the research benefits public health.
